But this past year or so, a lot more people have turn Thursday into the first day of the party weekend. As a result, a lot less students go to class on Friday.

My Public Relations professor, who has just started here after teaching at the U of Maryland, was wondering why there was a significant abscence of students on Friday. Our replies were "it's Friday." Her response was "so, people just don't go to class?" And everyone said "Yeah, Thursday's the new Friday."

Is that happening at your campus, or is this something that's normal?

Wednesday is the new friday Here at CSU because most of the students go to "College I.D." night at Peabody's which is across the street from the campus.
