I agree with 33girl as well. On our campus, the top sorority is the same sorority for years and years. They are the prettiest and most likely, richest girls on campus. Not to take anything away from the great philanthropy work they do and also their good grades. While the middle and bottom change frequently, the top guns are always there.

At the University of Colorado the houses are really spread out but Pi Phi is at least three blocks further from campus than everyone else yet has always been among the best sororities on campus. I want to agree with what 33girl said earlier, it's mostly just years and years of reputation keeping the top houses on top. Rankings and numbers may change a lot in the middle and on the bottom but the top houses usually stay there.
