Man Trying To Kill Puppies Is Shot By One

Because Jerry Allen Bradford couldn't find another home for seven 3-month-old puppies, he decided to shoot the dogs in the head. One of the dogs made the .38-caliber revolver discharge, causing Bradford to be shot in the wrist.

Bradford was holding two puppies when one that was in his left hand wiggled and put its paw on the trigger, making the gun discharge. He was charged with felony animal cruelty for trying to shoot the seven puppies.

Four of the seven puppies appeared to be in good health and are being made available for adoption. Three other puppies were found by deputies in a shallow grave outside Bradford's home.
