Uhm......
I didn't realize it was a major faux pas to try and make connections with folks. I always imagined that speaking to people was a good way of making friends. (???) I mean, there have been loads of other people on GC that I've taken a personal interest in....people from my hometown, people who share the same hobbies, people in my sorority, etc. I didn't think asking you where you are from was going to "worry" you or cause you to think that I was trying to chat you up.
