I bet. I mentioned swimming because when I was younger, I had back problems. My orthopedic surgeon was a very strong proponent of swimming.
My second back problem happened when I was 18. I fractured my second and fourth vertabrates of my lower lumbar. The pain was excruciating. Within a few weeks, most of the pain was gone, but it was still there. When I brought my swimming to an hour/day, every day, the pain was completely gone within a week.
I know its not the same thing, but swimming might be a solution.
