It's not illegal for TV shows and movies to use the names of sororities and fraternities in their works...provided that they have discussed it with them (since the vast majority of Greek organizations have trademarks on the name). I remember in that Julia Roberts movie, "Something to Talk About", it is mentioned that she met her husband at the "Chi-O Sadie Hawkins Dance" (We have closed-captioning, and it read "Chi-O"). Don't forget the SNL skit with reference to Tri-Delt...
