I have a few favorite artists:
Mary Cassett (my favorite painting of hers), who ironically WAS local!
and
Carl Faberge, who created the Tsarist Easter Eggs out of magnificent gems, among other things.
But I can spend hours in any gallery! I think the women who created the wonderful quilts of 19th century were artists in their own right, too!
