I have had a couple of incidents with this sort of thing: one is funny and one is not so funny.
First the not so funny one: About this time last year I was out celebrating one of my sister's b-days and we went out to a nightclub; just the girls. She met this guy from California, and he had a friend who kept hitting on me. I told him I had a boyfriend (which I did), but he wouldn't leave me alone, he just said whatever I heard that one before, and kept grabbing me, which really ticked me off. If a girl says she has a boyfriend, I guess all you can do is take her word for it, and if she is single, well it's her loss.
Now for the funny story: I was at a Sigma Chi Party a few months back, and me and one of my sisters were lounging around in the living room chatting. Anyways this guy comes over and sits on the edge of the couch right beside me. I just knew he was going to start hitting on me. So he asks who I'm at the party with and I replied quite nonchalantly: I'm here with my sorority sisters and I know this fraternity very well (my b/f is a Sig). So the first thing he says to me is, so where's you boyfriend. So I responded around somewhere, and my sister and I got up to go dancing. Anyways at the end of the night we are all standing in the front hall getting ready to leave. The same guy comes up to me again, and asks where's my boyfriend. Well Colin (my b/f) is in the front hall with us, so I pointed to him, and said he's right over there. Well this guys takes one look at Colin (who is 6'1 over 200lbs - used to play football), and says oh sh*t, and bolts. It was hilarious.
