I love reggae too, and these artists have talent but I ain't mad at the gay people's reaction. If the song had said "boom bye bye in a n****s head and not batty boy, we would all be OUTRAGED.
I don't mean to say that being gay is better, worse, the same, or whatever as being black, but they have every right to be offended at those lyrics and to be AFRAID of the damage they cause.

You make a good point here. We all would be grossly offended if someone was attacking who were are as a race...grossly offended.
I am Jamaican and I grew up in here (yes that's where I am now

) and I never really minded the lyrics because it's the norm. There is a lot of hypocrisy not only about homosexuality ( yes we have quite a few here who are out) but about oral sex, bleaching our skin and taking drugs besides weed ( and no not even 20% of us smoke weed). My point is that in our culture we speak out about a lot of things that a lot of people are doing behind closed doors- it never really means anything. My only problem is when an artists can't find anything else to talk about besides homosexuality or performing oral sex- these are just not accepted publicly.

what if Jamaica stopped allowing artist from other countries to perform because they curse? i'm not advocating violence agains gays, but just what if...

We can't afford to do that. When any artist curses on stage they get fined. Quite a few rappers including Snoop have warrants out for there arrest because they were fined and left the country before paying it.
