Jeff, I'm sorry that the ones you met in SoCal matched your description. But I ask that you not generalize all Californians to be like that--or even all SoCal ppl to be like that--b/c obviously, AmyCat is from SoCal--and she is SO NOT selfish, shallow, and self-centered. She is one of the most generous, warm-hearted, and eloquent people I have ever met online. ALso--I've been to SoCal many times--your descriptions do not fit any of the people that I have encountered. Please do not generalize!
