I am with ya my friend. Glad to know I am not the only one on here with the redwing/khakis thing. Nothing like hitting a UT football game and just about EVERYONE in attendance is wearing the same getup. I was in mourning a few weeks ago because I had to send them in to be resoled. (for ya'll not in the know, you cant just let any unskilled cobbeler work on them, no, no, you must send them to the factory, where the original craftsmen created them, lovingly from the raw materials they once were). I had the wedge heel, but got the bigger one this time around, gave me an extra half inch, why not. I look that much more intimidating
in them. But I had to go without them for 14 days, ugh! I was so uncomfortable in anything else. But they came back looking GREAT! Alas, my old friends, been with me since '93. Still goin strong!
