A couple of things that you might not be aware of:
1. Charlton Heston was a BIG supporter of civil rights legislation. He marched side by side with Martin Luther King in the 1960's to support signing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. He was out in front while other celebrities were hiding waiting to see what public opinion was.
2. He did give a speech at Harvard. It is about freedom and very patriotic. If you do not follow or agree with the ideas of the founding fathers and their beliefs, you will NOT like Mr. Heston's presentation. Be aware that his speech at Harvard is the speech that they have received the most requests for reprints of all speeches given their. If you believe in a redistribution of wealth or that the govt is responsible to provide anything beyond what is dictated by the U.S. Constitution (health care, welfare, personal security), hearing his speech will only upset you. A govt taxing the population to provide services for everyone is a socialistic approach to govt and not what this country was founded on and not at all what Mr. Heston supports.
