Ours is a 12-team league. I had a bad season last year, so I'm drafting 4th (we use a surpentine system).
anyway, the scoring formula is vital to how you draft your squad, IMO. In most leagues RBs are key cause NFL teams usually run more than they pass. More touches, more chance for points. In our league, TDs are 6 pts---RBs get 1 pt. for each 10 yards rushing/or receiving; WRs get the same and QBs get 1 pt. for each 20 yards passing, and 3 pts for TD passes.
so I usually draft RBs early then try to snag a stud QB or WR who ever is the best available. Usually there are only a handfull (2-3) of impact TEs (Gonzalez, Heap, Shockey (if healthy) and I think Winslow might show out a lil bit this year, too. If you can get one do it; if not, wait till the middle rounds.
is yours a keeper league or do you guys start fresh every year?
