When I was, oh, probably in high school, talk came up at home of college and GLOs, and I asked my Kappa Sig dad if I could see his badge. His response was, "you'll have to ask your mother; I gave it to her." She went and pulled it out of a special place in her jewelry box -- this would have been about 30 years after he pinned her. They both clearly saw it as a very romantic thing.
