I come from an extremely small chapter (last fall we had 7 sisters - the chapter then proceeded to recuit 20 in the year
). Instead of punishing us, Kappa HQ has done nothing less than offer its full support in terms of helping us achieve our potential.
Being small hurts. There are so many fees that are not dependant on the exact number of actives - like insurance, bank/treasury fees, costs of fraternity visitors, convention etc etc. The smaller you are, the more of your dues go these costs and not the fun stuff. To fine chapters over this is creating an excessive financial strain on the chapter.
