Nope, I didn't see Julia's post-Oscar interview. I guess the whole "guy with the stick" thing is not really a big deal. Being up on that stage has to be nerve-wracking, and there have been plenty worse slip-ups during acceptance speeches. For example, Hilary Swank forgetting to mention her husband last year. Hopefully, we will never see another speech like Jonathan Demme's painfully long one when he won for Silence of the Lambs:
"...um, uh, uh, I would, uh, like to thank, uh, Jodie um Foster, and er, um, uh, Anthony, uh, Hopkins..." UGH!
Not that I'm a Oscar fashion expert (leave that to Joan Rivers and her coattail-riding daughter), but I thought it was cool how a lot of guys steered away from the tradtional tux this year. Soderbergh looked sharp in just a jacket and tie. Russell Crowe's "tie" was a little goofy though.
