OOOOOOOOOOOOO
Here's a thread I really like!!!!!
I'm getting married on May 19th! That's just over 7 weeks from now.
As far as inviting my sisters, well most of them know that my guest list is limited to about 100 people. So I really couldn't afford to have all of them there. I'm sending personalized invites to some of my best friends so that they know that they are invited to the whole thing, and then I'm sending an invitation for the wedding only to the entire sorority. I know that it's not proper etiquette to send an invite for just the wedding and not the reception, but since they're my sisters I'm hoping that they will understand. I thought I'd just spread the word that if they're in town they are absolutely welcome to drop by for the wedding, and that I don't expect a gift by any means. I'm sure Emily Post would turn in her grave at the very idea, but...
All I have to say is address your invites early! I had no idea how many hours and hours it would take to write them all out and stuff all of the envelopes and everything. And if you're addressing everything yourself make sure to buy extra envelopes. I bought 25 more envelopes than invites, and that way if I messed up a little I could just throw it away and not worry about it.
If any of you have any questions, I'd love to help. Now that I'm getting so close to the wedding I kinda miss some of the earlier planning stuff. I'm down to nitpicky little details and confirmations.
Anyway, I could go on and on and on...But I won't!
