It's quite possible that your campus does not have any social GLOs. Some campuses permit "special interest" orgs like Sigma Alpha Iota, Tau Beta Sigma, etc but not socials.
Yes, you DO have to be interested in music (or other things) to join sororities/fraternities with that aim. General/social sororities, you do not.
What school do you go to?
