I know it's really weird, but I hate the dash (Tri-Sigma)..it bugs me so much when people use the dash!!!
. I think it's just a personal peeve. I try to let the whole Tri Sig thing roll off my back most of the time when my independent friends use it or other non knowing greeks (an easy way to look like a snotty chapter is to say: "that's Tri Sig-MA", but we do correct each other within the chapter. we're mostly known as Sigma's anyway.
