I love the University of Hawaii at Manoa because...

-we have the support of the entire state when our teams (all of them--not just football!) play...which is probably due in part that we don't have professional teams, so UH is their pride and joy.

-here, volleyball is like GOD. though our teams haven't won a national championship in a while, they do well every season and usually rank within the top 5 in all the polls. visit the stan sheriff center, and you'll bear witness to the new "religion" that attracts 10,000 faithfuls every weekend.

-we have so much campus diversity, which is pretty much a reflection of my state.

-we have Manoa Gardens, an eating place that includes a bar where you can relax with a brew during the day. weekends they have karaoke too!

-we have doctors that have cloned mice!

-this may sound cheesy, but a lot of the professors here are very nurturing and care about things that students are interested in. i mean, where else can you find a history class like "VIVA LAS VEGAS!"?

-the outpouring of aloha that my school gets from the state in tremendous and very unique. we have other colleges in this state, but they truly don't compare to the support that my school receives.

...and that is why i love UH-Manoa.
