Alsace-Lorraine is an interesting area. Strasbourg is one of the most beautiful cities I've been to. Their cathedral is BY FAR my favorite in Europe. The region switched between France and Germany 3 times during the 20th century. The culture there is kind of a blend of both the bavarian (southern German) and French cultures.

Due to the strong German influence, I don't find anything particularly unusual about this neo-nazi stuff going on. There will always be scumbags like this that the world would be better off without. I'm not sure that these punks represent the area as a whole.

This is a very "international" city. I'd wager that the local populace is probably pretty outraged about this.
