Yoga is very much a work out. Have you seen that NIKE (I think) commerical where it has the woman curling her legs around to touch her head? The screen says "I've never owned a ball" . . . that is a yoga move and I know you HAVE to be flexable and in shape to do something like that! If you haven't seen that commerical--well, just imagine laying on your chest and bending your legs all the way around to touch your head, like you're standinging on it--if that makes sense. lol

The yoga tapes I bought came in a box set. There's a cardio-vascular tape, a tape that focuses on the arms and abs, a tape that focuses on the legs and but, and one that focuses on the meditative side of it all.

While I searched for tapes to buy, I saw yoga tapes for people with bad backs, people who want to lose weight, power yoga (I'm guessing advanced?) . . .

There ARE different types, but I don't know much about them. I should rephrase that, there are different variations. Most named after an instructor who came up with their own types of moves. I know of one that is advanced where the instructor hikes the heat up to 90-100 degrees because he feels that it allows the muscles to stretch more. I really don't know much about different variations though.
