I've been at my current job for 9 months and I've even thought about leaving here (just for a different company). Prior to this job I was in my hotel mgmt, which my 4 year degree is in. I enjoyed it for a while but it got to the point to where I was so unhappy and could not stand it anymore. Work was running my life, and it made me a completely different person. It was a hard pill to swallow (in a round about way) that I went to school for 4 years to get a degree in something I want out of. I'm so happy now with my career change even though my degree is completely irrelevant to my career. I heard the statement, 'Your career won't end up being what you get your degree in.' so many times. I didn't believe it, but now I do.

You just have to market yourself in the right way in order to find the right career for you. I went from Hotel Mgmt. to being a Loan Officer. Its hard, but if you are truely unhappy, give it a shot and look for something different.
