Right & Wrong.

You're right if you're talking about what hazing is for LXA. However, for other groups, hazing policies differ. Everyone has their own rules. In my chapter, you are part of a "Candidate Class". You do have seperate activities with the Candidate Marshal (a full member) or your Candidate Class Officers as leaders for your activities. You do have to go up for a final vote of membership, etc. None of that according to our HQ is hazing.

Please watch it with such broad definitions.

If someone is thinking about rushing, the question should not be "Do you haze?". It should be "What types of activities do I participate in as a new member?" and "Is there a hell week/I-week or something to that effect?".

In my experience, chapters that haze often lie about it during recruitment. My only advice to a new member is that if you do find that you were lied to, feel free to call your organization's national office and ask if you are being hazed.
