If "something happens", let your rush counselor know your thoughts.

One of the PNMs had a family emergency arise, and she had to go home during the preference parties. She cried and told her rush counselor that she would have wanted to go ASA if she could have completed rushing. When we came in one under quota, the rush counselor (not an ASA) let us know, and we were able to snap bid her.

Is this likely to happen? No, so don't get your hopes up, but there's no harm in letting your rush counselor know where you would have liked to have gone. I believe that at most schools, they are allowed to pass along positive information like this if they know of a snap bid or COB opportunity and think it could facilitate a match.
