The old apartheid South Africa party, The National Party which became the New National Party, has merged with its old nemesis, the African National Congress. It is an interesting movement and many have said that many of the old guard will probably move to either the Freedom Front or the Democratic Alliance. However, both parties have little to no chance of holding overcomming the ANC. Last election, the ANC garner close to 70% of the vote, whereas the DA, the official opposition party, only garner 12% of the vote.
