I know what you're all thinking. Oh my god, Matt is actually back on the boards...
As for the pay phone. We had one for over 15 years. We took it out last year because it was costing us money. The majority of college students don't even have a land line anymore, much less use a payphone. I'd suggest just getting a regular land line for the house, and restricting it to local calls. That will cost you less than a pay phone, or at least it did for us.
The vending we do is only Coke and Pepsi. I beleive the companies them selves do that stocking but I'm not certain.
