Twenty-five years ago my brother-in-law (an Air Force pilot in the '60s) watched me fabricating a three dimensional 2' x 3' light-up Lambda Chi Alpha coat of arms complete with sequencer so the quadrants could be illuminated in order, to give to my chapter. He shook his head, put his hand on my shoulder, and said, "Look, you're not in college anymore. You gotta put this 'fraternity' stuff behind you".
I didn't. Over the years, however, his words did make me doubt my passion and committment on occasion.
The nicest thing about General Assembly is the reassurance that there are a LOT of guys, from the youngest Associate Member to the oldest GHZ member, who are as crazy about Lambda Chi Alpha and the whole concept of Fraternity as I am.
Capt. Sanchez was wrong.
