they have increased the subway prices a lot in the last few years an the service hasn't gotten any better. what is going to happen is it's going to be more economical for people to drive into the city from long island, jersey and upstate than to take the train. this will cause even more congestion (is that even possible?? ever try using the belt parkway or LIE during rush hour...what a nightmare). they need to do something about these prices...
Even if they don't raise the tolls for the B&T people, which they probably will, the traffic is so bad that rail is the best way to get into the City.
