I don't think that Miriam is actually Amish. She doesn't seem surprised by anything in the "outside world," unlike Ruth or Moses.
That Ariel chick is irritating as all hell. I think I would have to pin her down and eat a large hamburger while sitting on top of her if I had to live with her.
The only people I like so far are the blond-city-girl-who-is-not-Ariel, Moses, and Ruth.
