ok...the school that I teach at has a huge age difference (about 20 years between me and the next youngest person, the principal!) Oh course, they all know more than me cause they have been teaching since the dark ages. They also are not very excited about change in faculity. I call the it the rest home becasue they only way you can get a job out there is if someone dies or retires, which they do not want to do. I was the first teacher the principal had every hired right out of college and the first person to be hired in ages period. They try to make my life hell....it is a very gossipy school where I am left out of the entire circle. Not to mention very one there is native to the county but me (or the state for that matter). They all wear those little jumper dresses and orthopedic shoes. This is middle school for gosh sakes...of course the kids think I am way cooler cause I am only 25 and don't try to act like them whatso ever. I used to get really upset that I didn't fit in and that someone of them out there were just down right mean. Now I don't care...I'm just careful I won't wear, say, or do anything that will cause a heart attack! Ok....end of my rant!
sorry, its just that we just started back to schoo...so its starting all over again! I would leave, but I love my kids and we are the top school in the county!
I guess the old people know what they are doing!
