Do me a favor
WATCH some USC games this year. We shut everyone the hell up last year when they all said Michigan would kick our asses because we played a weak schedule. MI never stood a chance.
Cal is ranked and beat us last year. We play them at home this year. VA Tech is not exactly a sissy team. As for the rest of it, oh well, Coach Carroll did what he could to beef up a schedule that was more or less set years ago before we regained our dominance.
Read some of the sportswriters at ESPN and SI, they will all attest to our strength and dominance and depth. None of that has a damn thing to do with who we play. We'd play strongly no matter who we played.
We are that good.
