The Eta Chapter of Delta Gamma at The University of Akron is soooo near and dear to my heart for soooo many reasons.

First, we are the oldest chapter of Delta Gamma in continuous existance (March 15, 1879 - March 15, 2004 = 125 wonderful years of sisterhood)!

Secondly, the women are the most genuine people that I know. Like Jocelyn said....we are the women on campus that "don't try to pretend and hide behind the glitz and glam". We are real and when you see us, what you see is what you get.

The diversity of our chapter is amazing! We have so many types of women that come from so many different backgrounds and that makes our chapter unique.

We have strong leadership from many of our members. We have women (alum and active) that have served our chapter, our campus, and our Panhellenic with pride. We've had senators on Associated Student Government, Panhellenic Presidents and Executive Officers, Orientation Leaders, Ambassadors, Yearbook Editors, Writers, and Photographers, Officers and members of other Organizations such as ODK, Mortar Board, Order of Omega, Rho Lambda, etc.

Finally, what is sooo cool about our chapter is when you walk on campus and you can point out the many buildings, memorials, and gifts that are named for DG alumnae and/or were given to the campus by DG. It is such a beautiful thing!
