"My" (he lives with my mom and she no longer considers him mine) cat is a short haired orange and cream tabby, and indoor only. We rarely have to bathe him, but he gets brushed constantly.
My mom got a piece of an old screen, and put it in the bottom of the big steel sink in our basement. Kitty can sink his claws into that, and the water can still drain. Plus it catches all the hair and fur that comes off so the drain isn't clogged.
My sister has this long haired tortoise shell beast she found in her former backyard. She and my brother-in-law both have to hold her, and another person has to shave her. She is blacklisted from all the local groomers for being the beast she is.
