My mom and dad both work for the federal govt in DC.
Mom is a computer specialist at the Office of Personnel Management (like the big HR for govt) BUT SOON she's going to working for the FBI.
She just programs computers and tells other programmers what to do.
Dad is the Director of Administration for the Department of Justice's Office of Justice Programs. He does secret stuff, so I dunno.
Mom is registered republican (although some days i wonder)
Dad is registered independent (he worked at one agency way back in the day that checked, so he made sure to play it safe)
I'm a republican, grad student, currently interning for the federal government at the Export-Import Bank in their Comm Office.
So yep, your tax money has supported me and my family our whole lives.
