Hi Anchor8,
I have held the positions of Chaplain, Scholarship Chair, Social Chair, Alumni Chair, Webmaster, Vice President and now...
President! woo-hoo!
My sorority does not allow for members to hold an office for 1 year following initiation, and I've gotta say, I think that's a good thing. My advice is to take some time and experience your sorority as a general member, before you take on the responsibility of an office. This will give you a better feel for how everything really works (which is often very different from how it is supposed to work, bureaucracy wise) and let you study more which office you would like to hold. Personally (please don't take offense!) I am always bothered when people run for office just to hold an office. So I would suggest taking another semester and running later...
