I
think that you're referring to Queen Victoria's son being married to the daughter of Czar Alexander II, and her granddaughter Alexandra (born Alix of Darmstadt) being married to Nicholas II, the last Czar. I don't think Queen Victoria had any Russian blood, but I could be wrong.
On a different note, I had a professor who was SO into the lineage of the various royal families, and now he's a client of mine (I'm a geriatric counselor). He's firmly convinced that I'm the Queen of England, and after a year of trying to convince him otherwise, I've given in, and taken to having my presence announced and wearing a tiara when I need to visit him. He loves it!!
