Well....pretty much.

OFFICIALLY, our National Philanthropy is Pine Mountain Settlement School. (That's because "philanthropy" is more $$ oriented, as in donations, than it is a physical service project. At least that's what I got out of the explanation!)

Our National Service Project is Habitat for Humanity. The aim is to do more actual hands on work with them, rather than just have a bake sale and send them money.

I think it's a great thing for us to have a hands-on service project. Pine Mountain was difficult to explain to others (and still is!) but Habitat is so widely known that it's easier to make a connection with them. Plus it's something alumnae can easily get involved with, especially if they are building in an area where there is a collegiate chapter and an alumnae chapter nearby.

I'm looking forward to swingin' a hammer!!!!
