And the first confirmed reports of a Mountain Lion in Iowa were when someone ran one over and killed it... we've since discovered that there are at least a dozen that have moved into Western Iowa and stupid farmers are shooting them.

In the area of my hometown of CT where I lived, we had random mountain lion scares of the years. Sometimes we'd find dead dogs from the neighborhood, at which people would start pulling their kids in early. Something told my parents that my Huffy wouldn't be able to beat out a wild animal.
