mostly non-NIC houses...

in '57, KAPsi & APhiA had houses at U of Kansas; also KHK engineering, several other professionals.
U of Mich "the mother of professional fraternities" had a good many professionals with houses in the late 50s, I do not know
about today.
Numbers are imperative to support a house; a lot of fraternity learning is had by having a "total experience."
The Risk Management, zoning, bad press, cost, all have had a factor in many groups being unable to have a house. We brought
most of this upon ourselves...and continue to do so.
With sororities, although no one has seemingly charged so...the
many universities with "rooms" or "floors" or "lodges" or other
means of meeting places, seem to imply they feel the girls are
not capable of managing a house. This is a slap in the face of
femininity, but no one seems to have the guts to say it.
Okay, Tom, how many more have I pissed off? LOL
