In this case, I don't think it's a long shot to be cynical when it comes to the intention of all of this nonsense. They are simply trying to portray him as Joe Blow. So far, they've been doing a great job.
It was an interview/profile. I'm only repeating what I read--not saying whether or not it was true. Don't kill the messenger, okay?

Well, he wasn't RAISED by an attorney. In fact, his father was a mill worker who moved the family around a lot in order to find better-paying jobs. I imagine being raised poor or "working-class" leaves a certain amount of financial prudence with you--which may or may not change if you do well. Sometimes, you espouse the values of your social situation growing up--not necessarily the one you're in now.

This whole convo is tired, kids. So, he eats at Wendy's once a year. If this sways someone's vote, they have other problems that need to be addressed. It doesn't make him trashy, or ironically, "Springer-esque."
