This is going to sound incredibly abnormal for a university student, but on nights where I have classes the next morning I usually hit the sack between 10:30-11:30. I'm someone who needs AT LEAST 8 hours a night to function. Wednesday night is Greek night at UBC so I'm up til about 1 or 2 (most of the time). Weekends, well on average about 2 or 3am, but I once managed to stay up until 7am

When it comes down to it everyone is different and what works for one person might not work for another. I study best during the day, so that's why I can go to bed at an earlyish hour.
