My first roomie my freshman year was really awesome! She sat with me at lunch in the dining hall because at first I didn't really know anyone, she helped me with my homework (she was a business major and a junior), and she told me where all the fun places in town were.

Sophomore year I became an RA, and had my own room.

Then I transferred schools, and was back to resident dorm life. My roomie was kinda wild.. she was a junior who transferred from a community college, who drank ALL the time... literally. She lasted about 2 weeks and then decided it just wasn't for her and dropped out.

After that I had the room all to myself for the rest of the school year, so my boyfriend sort of moved in with me while he was looking for a job and place of his own.

Senior year I had 2 roomies, the first one was just OK.. I never really saw her around much because she had class and work immediately after class, so I'd have the room to myself in the afternoons, and I usually worked nights, so when I came in, she'd already be sleeping. Second semester I roomed with one of my best friends. As much as I love her, I think I can safely say that we both drove each other BONKERS. We both agree that we are better friends now that we're not living together because we were complete opposites on the roomie-personality scale.

For my last and final semester I'm living with this really nice girl. We're both really excited b/c it's our first apartment, so we're being completely nerdy about buying furniture and new towels and pots and pans. After the semester is over though we'll both be moving because I'll be graduating and hopefully will have a job somewhere else, and she is planning her wedding, so I guess if it really doesn't work out, it's only 6 months, and if we end up hating each other, at least we'll have seperate rooms
