I was one of the first people I know who bought the book. I read it off and on for about a month and I couldn't really get into it. It seemed Ms. Robbins wanted to "beef" up the story, honestly, it seemed more fictional than fact. True, she intersperses the storyline with "non-fictional" accounts, however you definetly saw her "shock factor" angle throughout. I don't know how any person (Greek or Non Greek) could take her book word for word. Her sweeping generalizations and easy-to-jump to conclusions just furthered my opinion that she went into this "investigation" with blatant bias and tainted objectivity. Reading this books was one of the first times I felt I had to be defensive not just as an A-Phi but as a member of the Greek community.
Anyways I'm starting to ramble, if anyone wants to chat more about this lemme know!
