Almost 8 years. Holy crap, I still don't believe that. The only thing I have done that long is go to school, and not even the same school.
We both have friends who have done the
personality tithe much to our dismay and disgust, so we're determined NOT to do it. Sure, we have some issues and everything isn't perfect, but I don't think any of our friends have had to look at us and say "you're not YOU anymore."
I think they are just looking out for you but this is the only acceptable guy way to say it. Actually, if they hack around and tease you, that's probably better than if they just clam up when you bring up her name. I ended up doing that with one of my friends because I knew anything I said about her man would be coming through clenched teeth...at any rate, silence bad.
