Regardless of if its a white man pointing out what's wrong in our community..wrong is wrong. It is funny to me when people talk about airing our dirty laundry... when we do it everyday in our own music..whether we're singing it or buying the records. WHERE'S THE OUTRAGE???? Folks get all upset over silly incidences like "Blackface" at a college party...or Senator Trent Lott's comments....but when rappers in our own community do something like this..we cry freedom of speech AND dance to it when it comes on the radio!!! Now that's Butt Booty Backwards LOL

It really sounds like your opinion is sorta based on something that hasn't happened yet, if it ever happens. I don't think anyone in this thread, or that I even know, agrees with what Joe Budden is saying in the Confessions remix.

I think there IS outrage about this song....it just depends on what your media outlets are. If you depend on Fox News to see the outrage among people of color, then you won't see much.

The other thing is, this remix is NOT getting airplay in many places, and perhaps that's because the powers that be at radio stations have decided that this song crosses the line. I don't know.

But it does just seem like the things you are mentioning in your post are kind of out of left-field.
