I joined a local for a few reasons. #1 was money! I chatted with a friend who was joining another sorority and their membership fees were so high. Then a friend on my cheerleading team asked me if I'd consider rushing her sorority....first question I asked was "How much?!" LOL! I went to an event, met the girls and I am so glad every day that I made the choice to rush my sorority!

I came in the class after Lots-a-heart (who posted above) and I feel the same way as her....I'm not a founding member, but I'm proud of the way things are looking for our sorority...even if I have to observe from another country!
Sarah, if you're reading this, I read your post above...and you forgot something....we're not the only local (Omega Pi's local too remember?!) And of course we will be international...hopefully soon, with me going to school here in Florida in Sept!
