For those of you that haven't been to JKRowling's site here is the big news- THERE IS NO SIGNIFICANVE OF MARK EVENS!!!
Now, I want to SHOUT from the mountian (or the bridge, not many mountians by me) that "I TOLD YOU SO!!!". I'll admit it. I visit some of those other chat sites that are strickly Harry Potter, and I post. I had the minority opinion that Mark Evans ment nothing. Let me tell you, ya think GC is bad sometimes? Try getting flamed by 13 year olds. Ouch. And they can put some graphic-y type things into their posts. I had one post that was some dashes and zeros in the shape of a middle finger at me.
I really really really wanted to know if Siruis is really dead. I actually thought that was the only logicat FAQ posted there. I thought JK's side note of "if any" in the question "What, if any, is the significance of Mark Evans?" Would have tipped everyone off. Even JK announced she was praying that another questions was going to win. But alas, we now know that Mark Evans was a big fat red herring.
