I felt proud to be an Alpha Xi:

*When I pledged.

*When I got my big sis.

*When I was initiated.

*When I got my badge, even though it was the next semester since nationals lost our paperwork 3 times.

*When I was able to tell girls during recruitment all the wonderful things that makes Alpha Xi what she is and show them some of our beautiful insignia, like _my_ crown pearl Quill.

*When we got our list back of girls that matched our bid lists this last year, even though it was only about half of quota, and we went out and cheered so loud we were heard above the other 15 sororities on campus.

*When our parents came down for Parent's Weekend and I was able to pin my mom with our Mother's Pin.

I also felt proud to be a member of the AU Panhellenic system:

*When the Greek system at AU raised over $50,000 for the Spann Endowment, which gives scholarships to the children of soldiers killed in the line of duty.

*When another sorority's president knows she can email the others and ask them to ask their sisters to donate blood for one of her own.
