Lowe has been AWFUL this season; he's a mediocre pitcher who had one good season, and that's it. If the Sox can get ANY value for him, they should do it; give Arroyo the spot in the rotation. (this is not just because I'm a Yankees fan)
I think Overbay was the biggest snub; I'm not sure Pedro was much of a snub at all, his season, while solid, hasn't exactly been All-Star worthy. When you're one of the top two or three pitchers of the last 25 years though, missing an All-Star game isn't so bad.
As a Yankees fan, I'll even admit that Giambi didn't deserve to go. Jeter I'm more torn about; he's been lights out the past couple of months, and his overall numbers are solid in an off-year for shortstops. Guillen would start over him on merit, but I think Jeter may have done enough offensively to earn a place on the team.
